What we do at CARAT

CARAT is a hedge fund (in the sub-category of CTAs) -- which tries to profit from the financial/futures markets.  In particular, our research -- and historical data -- has shown that profits can be earned in the futures markets (currencies & commodities), equities, and fixed income. As a result, we diversify and balance CARAT's portfolio in these sectors. 

Timeframe 

Within the financials and commodities -- there are a number of different sub-sectors. Normally, when one sector does poorly, other sector(s) have helped the overall portfolio.  This type of sector diversification helps our overall portfolio.  Similarly, we use trading approaches that vary over time-frame to improve our diversification and ultimate performance.  We love what we do -- and constantly revisit our fundamental ideas, approaches, and methods.  We are truly excited about some of our recent research and have improved our trading methods.
